A skunk! Gorgeous things...hideously expensive though.

I would not recommend a skunk as a "lap pet" - their personalities are variable but most will soon tire of being petted and long to explore.

My male is a real "people-skunk" and even he would get a bit sick of just sitting on my lap whilst I type/read. He does like to sneak UNDER the laptop for warmth though Rolling Eyes

They should also be kept as house pets rather than caged animals - if cats and dogs are out of the question an animal that essentially acts like both (only more keen on destroying things and exploring EVERY crevice of your house!) probably wont cut it.

Skunks are currently selling around £800 and at this time of year you won't find a youngster.
