Whilst producing hotdog sausage sandwiches a little while a go I had a strange thought, which sadly for my poor hubby has more bearing on the snakies love life than his, although he swears he'd get further if he had scales Anyway, I digress...................................
Is there any correlation between incubation temperatures and sex determination, colour, hatchling size etc? If there is where can I locate said research?
Has there been much research done at all on these sorts of things? _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

My brain tends to come up with things at the strangest of times, I'm also suffering from an accute lack of reptilian reading at the moment, owing to the fact that I have read about 6 ball python books in the last 6 weeks ish
Thank you for your answer Snakeypete I would have thought that some of the bigger breeding stables would have investigated more, especially given that if you could prove temperature sex dependancy the world would be your oyster, or in this case ball python. Even more so with Adult females being like hens teeth to find _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Godzilla, I know crocodilians, leopard geckos etc. can be TSD I believe in Leopard Geckos as well the temp you cook them at can have an effect on their colour, I just can't remember where I read it.
Snakeypete, I agree totally, a nice slow cook giving extreamly bright colours would be amazing if it could be done. _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Thanks Snakeman, that might be where I read it I've been on so many sites for various things I find it difficult to remember what I've read where
It'd be great if the same principles applied to Royals _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

It would be great if it were the same for royals but unfortunately it's not!
