Hi all. I'm getting two 14 week old crested geckos on Saturday ad was wondering whats the best food to give them? Ive heard a lot about crested gecko diet from t-Rex (Think) is this the best food to give??
I was going to feed them the Gecko diet and every few days offer crickets also and baby food fruit or puree fruit as a treat. Id like other more experienced owners recommendations and advice. Many thanks. Paul |

Just be careful with babyfood as it has a lot of sugar in it and don't feed citrus flavours! I put a whole banana and a mango in the blender and blend to a puree then freeze into an ice cube tray. I mix CGD with this and they love it. I don't feed CGD on it's own personally. If they've been fed fruit puree they can sometimes be funny with CGD on it's own. and yes it is by T-Rex. One tub will last you ages as you don't need a lot or else it makes the food go thick and gloopy.
If they are only 14 weeks old they could do with being fed daily. I used to feed two days with fruit puree & CGD and third day with crix when mine was a baby. You'll probably need 3rd size crix, nothing wider than the widest part of their head. _________________ 9 leopard geckos

Thanks for the reply. Ive bought some CGD and I'm going to the shop tomorrow to pick which to Geckos i want (prefer two females) and ill ask what they are fed on. I will feed every day as suggested. Ill also try mixing CGD with puree fruit. Do you make the CGD up first then add fruit?? And the crickets you feed are they to be no bigger then the space between there eyes?? Again many thanks for the reply. I cant wait to get my Cresties!! |

I defrost the fruit puree then add the CGD to it and mix well. Yeah crix no wider than their head.
You'll have hours of fun watching them. Mist them daily. I've just bought some real plants for when I get my large exo terra ta the weekend.
Post some pics when you get them _________________ 9 leopard geckos

I very much doubt that you will get 2 definate females at 8 weeks old as they are incredible hard to sex at that age _________________

Between 6 & 9 months I think. My boy suddenly grew this almighty bulge at about 8 months old!! Definitely feed daily if they are that tiny _________________ 9 leopard geckos
