Thinking about breeding my own rats, but don't want to keep em in the house (am allergic to all things fury! ) Can I keep them in my outhouse? It has a roof but is not an enclosed space! Just wondered as obviously they would be exposed to the elements. _________________ Graphic design genius (print & web)

they live outside just under a old shed to keep the rain off, thats my veiw on it.
As long as they have some shelter and cant get wet then i dont seem why not. I keep mind in the shed and they seem fine. |

Mine were in the garage with no problems. They prefer it a bit cooler. _________________ Need a website? 8 years experience, GREAT rates for reptile keepers, currently designing several reptile websites. Also graphic design, hosting and marketing services.

If it's not enclosed I wouldn'teep them in there.
They may be fine if they were in tubs that gave them some protection but I doubt they'd breed in this weather!!!!!!
When I put mine in the shed I'm lining it and putting them on heatmats in the Winter. |

Thank for the info guys, I'll have a think... maybe a wood rack style enclosure with plastic tubs would be best... _________________ Graphic design genius (print & web)
