I've got a few ideas that worked with my Dummerils, put the rat/mice in a dish of hot water, wiggle the pray in front of them if that does'nt work press the head of the pray against the mouth as i think the smell of the brain can educe a take,if your using mice then try a rat or vice versa.Mine would rarely eat if it was just left in their cage,so it probably a case of moving it in front of them.Once you got them going you will probably find that they will become very aggressive feeders and try and bite your hand of every time you feed them, mine did.Good luck

Nice ideas thomas. One of the things i have noticed in my dum is that she tends to feed more readily when in a hide or under things, and as almost every resource on the internet says theyre ambush predators i guess thats why!

The movement thing thomas mentioned is good as well, just dont go to mad, because shaking the food item to violently will probably scare your snake then anything else! (Have you ever seen a rodent breakdance?chances are neither has your snake!)

By the way, whats your set up?How long has it been since they/he/she/it stopped feeding? Some scales(sp) may be in order. I have found that feeding snakes is trial and error, you find out what works and what doesnt.

Hope some of that helped
Martin
