cheers, I had a think about if i really needed to do it along a Australian theme (red desert/arid) and decided against it, bit to garrish in the front room according to my Mrs. I'm quite happy with it though, as it turns out _________________ http://s124.photobucket.com/albums/p17/Bird-fly/

Sorry MJ didt see your post some how?
Im gunna leave whats left of the top/side walls as they are now. I think it'll discourage any climbing up to the grill (thats not fitted yet) although i can see that they will be able to reach it in places, at least not directly beneath a basking site.
I've ordered the glass, 1278mm x 1070mm 4mm toughened safety glass with brass handles fitted 100mm in and 400mm down.
I had a good chat with the bloke whos doing the glass and i have to agree that its the best type of glass for the situation, strong/lightweight and has good front impact resistance, sides are the weak points but they are well protected in the wooden housing of the viv itself. £70.
Still got to net/grill of the 3 warm-air pipe inlet thingys.
Change horrible vents on top.
Finish the two easy access side doors on the left of it.
Find/make suitable substrate (any ideas welcomed) i have 225mm depth to play with.
Add more fake plants?
Build box underneath for ambient heating, although at the moment with no heating/glass front/doors, the night time temps have got as low as 75f
Oh and T&G the whole thing into the wall & floor at a later date, orders!!
Umm! uptodate i think?

Fantastic looking vivarium, wish I had the motivation to attempt something similar for my Hog Isle boa. |

Thanks again people
I've had a few teething problems, i've only seen them rarely since introduction, more often than not i hear a scrabbling noise and turn to see a banded tail disappear Also i didnt seal the sides well enough and they got in there again, theres no keeping a healthy monitor down is there?
Had to start taking it apart again
Just a few more shots of one of them living it up?
