Well I assist fed my CF royal and she has now put on around 20g in just a couple of weeks.
I would like to thank Karen who showed me on webcam! lol
So I would also like to thank you John aswell.

I am still assisting her but now all i have to do is pop the
hed of the mouse in its head and she does the rest.

I beleive Lynne has tube fed as a last resort as we have discussed it on many
occasions.

Very Happy

*edit to say ;
I was told several times by different people not to assist
as it often does not work out and is only extending there life
and they will rely on being assisted.
Karen gave me the guts to try it, and now I can do it on my own! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

paul you know the things i have tried with this wee royal, and as i have said she will not assist. my friend has bred them for twenty years, and had to assist at least one out of every clutch he has had, so even if i dont know how to do it properly he does. i do know how to assist, hooking on teeth etc, but it wont work with her. tube feeding may not be the way to go for every one but i;m afraid for the moment its how she will have to go. in couple off weeks when she has had her medication, well then i will go back to trying to assist.

Yes she has John.
Before this she tried many other methods including chicken soup
and tuna oil to name a few.
This was a last resort.

Best of luck with the wee royal, Vixen. Sounds like you're doing what's right for her. Wink
