|
|
There are often adverts for things like 'Lemon Pastel sibling' - why ? I thought that if a co-dom was put to a normal about 50% of the babies would be normal, so why are they called 'siblings'? Is it in the hope that there just may be something interesting there ? The 'siblings' always cost more that normals - or is that the reason..... |

Some grantites have been proven as have bandeds and reduced.
Ralph Davis proved his line of granite to be co-dom. _________________ Regards, Paul.

Thankyou everyone for your replies. Yes vixen I am aware that siblings are brothers and sisters it just seemed so silly to call them 'siblings' instead of just plain ol' normal - not that there is anything wrong with normals, just seemed a bit of a ****** not to call a 'spade a spade'. |

Hi,
If you ask some of them they will tell you it's because they reserve the best looking normal females for their projects so the offspring are "special" because they come from good looking parents - they get quite defensive however when you ask what they breed the ugly ones to.
And yep everyone is hoping their granite/banded is also genetic so a lot of those are getting bred in combinations no one would have bothered with previously. Who knows some of them might even get lucky - someone on another forum bred his WC to a pet shop purchase and got 2 ghosts in the resulting clutch.
