He is very large, much more so than the female, but the females do tend to be much smaller than the males. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

I have observed them mating so fingers crossed, soon it will not be though before there may be babies, after gestation, and incubation will be quite some time.
With most chams you are looking at approximately an 11- 15 month turn around from mating to them being viable babies ready to move on. Even then babies can be very delicate and loses can be incurred. As you can imagine quite a lot of intensive work goes into the whole process, but worth every minute of it, great fun.
I check all my eggs in the incubators twice daily sometimes this process goes on for up to 12 months, the fastest hatching chams I have incubated have been the Melleri at 3.5 months hatched 75, longest have been some locales of panthers at 12-13 months, average panther incubation time I have found to be nine months, probably due to the temps I incubate them at, some quicker some longer but 9 months the average for me with panthers. Yemens six months to the day regular as clockwork. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

I think the incubation on these will be interesting....you going to put all your eggs in one basket so to speak or try different techniques? |
