Ah it's ok thanks for trying anyway.
I don't have a passport or driving licence sadly so going to germany to buy one isn't really any more of an option than going to america.
There are a few people still to reply to the emails so theres still a glimmer of hope for a local hookup. Failing that there is still plan A.
Did anything stand out as glaringly wrong/missing in the price guestimates I outlined earlier? From what I understood fed-ex brings i across, through customs then charges me the vat - do they have any other charges they apply?
Would it be any simpler getting it from canada? the prices are a little more but not drastically so for the animal itself but I know nothing of the other factors.
Or are there more breeders in europe I should be asking?
Sorry to be so full of questions - I promise to leave you in peace for a bit after this.

I imported from the USA and it's fairly easy these days.. especially if you deal with experienced people in the USA...ie: Bob and Mike. Paperwork took a couple of weeks to come through, not months.. there was duty and a handling charge at the airport of £95.00. I had commercial invoices made out for $500 so little tax to pay mostly handing fees. It was a totally painless experience and I saved about a grand on UK prices.
Recently I had animals picked up from Hamm by Henry Batten, his ad appeared on livefoods classifieds for weeks.. once again saving alot of money on Uk prices...
It can be done mush! |

Besides Hamm you can always try Snake Day in Houten. _________________ Proud owner of

I wonder if thats more a cash flow issue ie: big american breeders selling animals they dont have, getting the cash and then worrying about producing/finding the animals... Something to watch for sure ! |
