Using Olympus E-500 and 150mm telephoto lens with a +10 or +4 £10 macro filter on which I bought on ebay a few months back. (shutter 1/40 f22 iso 100)

Sorry not got my lizards yet!

Love the frog and the last mantis shot but they are very dark..I would have upped the iso shotting at such a small aperture (f22)

I actually took a few of the orchid one on the flowers and decided that I liked the darkest one better myself, but do see what you mean.

one thing I never understand is with the f22 setting (highest) it focuses on more yes? or is it the other way around?

Larger the f number the more of the subject will be in focus..a lower f stop i.e 2.8 will blur the background more and you will have a smaller depth of field

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if the 150mm lens was one that came with the Olympus? I want to upgrade my E-500 to a Nikon D80 o D200, can't afford one at the moment, so looks like I'll have to stick with what I've got for the time being. Troy

sorry Troy missed your post for a while!

yes I am using the 150mm that came with the camera, it does the job nicely... still saving for a proper macro lens but other things first Sad
