thanks Jase,

do you think that this tank will suite his needs?

thanks for all your help, we'll leave you alone now and let you know how hes getting along in the next few days.

I was thinking more about temps and humidity, but your setup looks alright, although my chams weren't young like yours when I got mine so someone like Rick (Rickeezee) or Luke (Redbelly) would know more as they breed chams

The cage is ok in my opinion but it would be better with more small vines in as baby chams only have tiny fingers[wrong word] and they like a variety of diameter vines.!

Shedding was my first thought when I saw the pic. My female had something similar and I thought she'd burned her feet on the UV tube but she shed it off a wee while later.

brilliant news every one.....

Bert is only shedding!!!! thank god for that, we thought there was something wrong with him.

we have taken all your helpful points and put them into action.

the vivarium is now much higher and we are not spraying him, just the plants.

thank you to you all

get a small rodent water bottle & gradually introduce this to him, drip the water near him, slowly get closer untill he drinks from it. you may have to do this over the course of a few weeks. as he's only a baby he should get used to drinking this way. its surprising how much they can drink, especially when adult. still spray the enclosure for humidity. the advantage of this way allows you to give soluable calcium & vitamins (be carefull not to over do, the vits).

thanks Johne,

thats a brilliant idea, i didnt know you could do that. that way we can see how much he is actually drinking. And adding the vits too......

he is drinking as we often see him licking the leaves.

Thanks again to everyone for your support

Rach.
