Good job there, looking pretty nice. I do like the moss covered branches been trying for months to get a good moss covering on my branches to no avail.
I plug the gap in the background with a sealant. I found the moss dried out to much. _________________ www.freewebs.co.uk/southeastreptiles |

The viv looks great Phil
A bit late now but why not use a nice flat cork panel background (not the compressed cork tiles, the nice natural bark type), simply silicone it to the glass. Looks much nicer and the roaches wouldnt be able to get behind it, would look awesome with those mossy branches too . Just a thought _________________ Steve P |

I to love the mossy logs, do you have Full spectrum lighting to keep that thriving or just a UV light? |

Yeah I noticed there was quite a bit of moss wedged in the female's old tank, thanks for the tip mate.

Yeah but think how long it would take you to maintain a load of these types of tank.

Thanks, good idea with the sealant.

Cheers, the branches are cut down from trees in the valley behind our house. Just soaked a few times in hot water.

Thanks mate, yeah I had thought about replacing it, maybe when it gets a bit worse for wear.

Cheers Karen and yeah they do - much harder to find them now

Thanks, looks like the logs are a hit again also I just have a UV tube on top of my tank with a reflector to make it shine down into the tank. |

Sky hooks
A piece of angle plastic either side, then aluminum angle resting between the two plastic angles that are glued to the glass. _________________

i love your set up, but doesn't the mossy branches get moldy if the humidity/dampness gets too much? Are all the plant in there real? I'm so jealous!its gorgeous.
Although i do think Scotts "modern minimalist" design has a certain charm to it lol _________________ some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs. |
