My buddy's leopard gecko has got an impaction, and i cant give him any advise on that since i haven't had any reptiles with impaction before, and the leopard gecko is quit thin too. What do we need to do? _________________ Death is Certain, Life is not.

well just for starters give him a warm soak, i am not that up on geckos but i think that is the rule of thumb for most herps initially, i am sure sombody with more savvy will be along soon to help. _________________

A soak in a closed tub that has enough water in it that it covers her belly when she is standing.
You can also give her a few drops of vegetable oil which can help remove the blockage.
I would schedule an appointment with your vets as well.
A picture would be handy, suspect discolourations of the belly aren't always impaction. _________________ Kind Regards,

Same as I suggested before, however if she is egg bound, and it is only a recent thing, all that may be needed is calcium, add a lot to some water and after you have bathed her belly get her to drink a lot of the calcified water.
I have recently done this with one of my females, and was successful.
Make sure an adequate laying box is provided, slightly damp substrate, deep enough for her to bury the eggs. About 3 inch minimum. _________________ Kind Regards,
