Mine cost me £150 and he's 24" long. My camera is playing up at the moment, but I'll get some photos sorted out asap. |

He is only slightly edgy at them moment, which is surprising as he has been housed with 10 others and only handled occasionally.
He allows me to put my hands in his vivarium and pick him put (but not restrain!).
The Tegus to avois are the Columbian Tegus (Columbian Blacks, and Columbian Golds). The Argentine Black and Whites are supposed to be the most mellow of all (Except for the Blue which is a Hybrid). The Reds are also supposed to make a great Pet.
Anyway, I'll keep you posted. |

from what i have heard blues are just as calm as argentine and red
i like tegus and i have my eye on one but i doubt i et it as i have other things to do in the moment

Well they are great lizards, and I'm fascinated by mine already. I can't wait to see the Reds in SCE when I'm down there later this month. |

the reds at wharf are pretty cool
last time i was there they where cleaning all the glass and the lil girl had a walk about
to be honest i prefer female tegus
on males those jowles (spelling?) get bloody huge _________________ ULI |

The females are definately the better looking one. So Wharf actually has a definate Female Red? |
