Thanks Jas, I had thought about using the soil heating cable a while back but a google search kept bringing up under floor heating, and the guy in BnQ did not seem to know what I was talking about . I have just ordered a few from this place if anybody else was interested.

I've used heatcable att. to a microclimate/habistat for many years to heat my racks no probs.I router a channel for the cable and secure it with aluminum/metal tape, this helps spread the heated area as the tape also helps heat retention.
I'm sure this will work in a viv, with the routed/heated area perhaps covered with a thin 'false floor' creating under floor heating so to speak. This will also deny direct access to the cable/tape by an active snake.
Hope this Helps......Rgds. AL _________________ if you like something buy it,if you don't then don't |
