I make sure I have decent vivs, and that I close the doors properly! I use duct tape on the lid of my newts' tank.

For keeping most of my vivs closed i use the wedges you get from
kits for fixing wooden floors in place ..very simple and cheap
and i always double check my usefull boxes

ball and chain...... little tiny gecko sized ones, that keeps em in order..

haha nah same as Lol93 i buy good quality vivs that should be escape proof from the offset. Exo terra terrariums are awesome! they have a lil lock on the front and added option of putting a combi lock on them.

my glass runner leaves a cricket sized gap between the doors so I've had to put a strip of draft excluder in between them its a pain because i have to remove it when i open the doors! but is better than having crickets and roaches running around like i had before. Shocked

Heh. That is true that a good vivarium should be able to be escape-proof... some of the best are the ones used by hot herp keepers, at least from what I read.

I have heard of snakes and frogs escaping through the runner of the Exo Terra though...
