hi all ,
i just finished this viv for one of my wd as it was terrorizing the other three and needed to be isolated for a short time.
the top is a standard kitchen cabinet on top of a fish tank.
kitchen cabinet 2' long by 2 wide' by 3' high
tank 2 ' long 14" wide 2' high

heating 1 * 75w inferred bulb
sun glo 60w by exo terra
water filterd by fluval 3 internal filter
thermomiters 1 stick on glass , 1 internal

looking good, although have you got a UV light in there? CWD's are diurnal basking lizards and really need a good strong UV source.

As Scott says you really need to get some form of uv light in there..what are the temps in there?..I would have thought the 2 bulbs were a bit much for such a small viv..

hi all ,
i hear your concerns , and as mentioned this is a temp solution until we find out what is the pecking order in the main tank and if any more males show themselves now the bully has been evicted.
The other three dragons have settled down and we are waiting to see the one that got the brunt of the aggression comes out of hiding and joins the other two , when this should happen or not then the decision will be made on housing / re homing of this dragon in this viv.
On the question of bulbs / heating the viv has vent holes at the back, and the door is not a sealed fit to the cabinet and has a 3 mm gap around the door frame allowing air movement through the cabinet.
The uv requirement is supplied by a exo -terra sun glo 60w daylight lamp ( states on the side stimulates natural behavior through uva rays) so that should cover that and the exo-terra thermometer , sticky thing on the side reads 77-80 at night with red light on and 77 -85 with both lights on .
i know this setup is not completely by the book , for a start there is no habisat heater control or humidity meter but there is a temperature gradient from top to bottom so the dragon can go where most comfortable to relax and we spray three times a day to keep up humidity.

those bulbs don't provide uvb though do they?,which the lizard needs as well..

the bulb has now been replaced with a tube exo-terra repiti glo 8.0

Nice one..just remember the lizard needs to be able to get within about 12 inches for it to benefit from it.
