I have to admitt, the more I see of these Crested Gekos, the more I think about getting some for myself.
I was actually into lizards for years before I got into snakes but I've only kept native species, nothing exotic.
Great pic by the way, they look real characters!!
Oh, can anyone post up pics of a crestie and a gargoyle so I can tell the difference?
And which of the the two do people prefer, which makes the better captive ect _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

Aww thats a real cool pic Jo.
Between Gargs and cresties for me is a toughie, i like them both, the most tame of all my geckos is the gargoyle, she loves to come out and sit on my hand and eat her baby food from my fingers etc, and will happily jump to your hand from the tank, but then again i have a crestie like that aswell, hes no so keen on jumping to you, but their both very tame, i think maybe between those two, its what you prefer the look of....
Rambo - Crested Gecko (R.Ciliatus)
Gizzy - Gargoyle Gecko (R.Auriculatus)

Thanks for all the comments guys!!
I was going to mention that gargoyles have bigger claws, I held one in the pet shop a few weeks back and I was amazed at how strong it was and how much bigger its claws were compared to cresties! Gorgeous though. And I love gargoyles eyes, stunning! _________________
