TBH, they are very differet animals, and you will gain a very different experience from each.

As Scott says - which do you prefer?! If neither in particular - get both. Wink

Obviously with both, there are specific needs to maintain a good and healthy animal, i found myself (trying not to be biased) that Cresties are alot easier to care for in terms of heating requirements etc, humidty not a huge difference but in general i find cresties alot easier. I also find cresties more interactive, you can handle them alot more than you can a yemens, yes some chams will come out and eat from your hand, and happily sit on your hand for a while, but in alot of cases they just wont tolerate it. I personally after keeping both much prefer the crested. Will you be wanting to handle them?
Also not forgetting that they are both active in completely different times, Chams are durinal (sleep at night) and Cresteds are Nocturnal (daytime) so you gotta also think about when you will be spending the most time with them. To be honest its all down to personal opinion. Lol sorry to blab on haha.

ok cool lol, well Cresties can be kept on purely CGD, its an Meal Replacement Powder that does exactly what is says, you wont need to feed anything else if you are not fond of livefood. although when i have used it before, i did like to throw in the odd cricket to keep them active and to watch them hunt, thats one of the best parts about cresteds, their personality, i think within the gecko family all the Rhacodactylus have the best personalities! Cresteds have been compared to clowns alot of the time, simply because of their friendly and bouncy nature! GOOO CRESTED WOOO!

Well I've only kept cresties and I can definately recommend them. Ben pretty much covered it all lol but I will put it in my own words to back it up lol Laughing
Apart from them being handlable, they're easy to care for (both housing and feeding), you have a choice whether to feed them live food or not, they're entertaining to watch, relatively inexpensive to keep after the initial costs, they're quite hardy really, they're attractive looking, they don't bite (usually Rolling Eyes ..maybe I should tell Biscuit.. she doesn't seem to know that rule! lol!) erm.. and they've got great personalities! They're right little characters! Spud and Biscuit have both got their own little quirks.. They dont grow too big.. erm... and they're CUUUUUUUUTTTTTEEEEEE!!!!! Very Happy Embarassed
Okay.. thats enough I think! If you need anymore reasons I'm sure I can come up with more!! Very Happy
At the end of the day its up to you, which ever ones you prefer! Wink
